Vsevolod Jurijowytsch Tolstuschko ( Ukrainian Всеволод Юрійович Толстушко ; born May 31, 1993 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian ice hockey player who has played for HK Kremenchuk in the Ukrainian ice hockey league since the beginning of 2018 .

Career

Vsevolod Tolstushko began his career in the youth department of HK Sokil Kiev, for whom he first played in the Ukrainian U20 league and from 2011 in the Ukrainian ice hockey league. In the 2011/12 season, however , he also played a dozen games for league rivals HK Winnyzki Haidamaki . After spending the 2013/14 season at HK Krylia Sowetow Dmitrov in the Russian junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga B , he moved to France, where he was on the ice for a year for the Hockey Club de Caen in the Ligue Magnus . Since 2015 he has played again in the Ukrainian ice hockey league at HK Donbass Donetsk and won the Ukrainian championship with the club in 2016 and 2017 . In 2017 he first moved to Halycki Levy Novoyavorivsk , but joined HK Kremenchuk at the beginning of 2018 .

International

In the junior division, Tolstushko played for Ukraine at the U18 World Championships in 2010 and 2011 , when he was voted the best player in his team with the best plus / minus balance of the tournament and made a significant contribution to promotion to Division I, both in Division II as well as the U20 World Championships 2012 in Division II and 2013 in Division I.

He made his debut in the men's national team in February 2016 at the age of 22 in qualifying for the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang . Although the Ukrainians narrowly failed in the first qualifying round to Japan , he was also nominated for the Group B tournament of the Division I World Championship in 2016 and achieved promotion to Group A of Division I with his team. He also played for the in 2017 and 2018 Ukraine in Division I.
