The Vyvenka ( Russian Вывенка ; Korjak : Энпываям (Enpywajam)) is a 395 km long tributary of the Bering Sea in the northeast of the Kamchatka region .
River course
The Wywenka has its origin in the Korjakengebirge , in the 389 m high 2.6 km² Gornoje lake. The Wywenka flows in a predominantly south-westerly direction along the south-east flank of a ridge. At river kilometer 191 the Tylgowajam joins the Vyvenka from the left. About three kilometers above the confluence of the Tylgowajam is the village of Chailino on the right bank of the river . The Wywenka finally reaches 40 km southwest of the village of Tilitschiki on the northwest bank of the Korf Bay . The bay opens to the Bering Sea. A spit separates the Vyvenka estuary from the open sea. The village of Wywenka at the estuary was partially destroyed in an earthquake in April 2006.
The catchment area of the Vyvenka is located in the Oljutorski district and covers an area of 13,000 km². The mean discharge is 202 m³ / s. Larger tributaries of the Vyvenka are Tylgowajam from the left and Maini Lulowajam , Oginrawajam , Tapelwajam , Wetwei , Wetrowajam and Maini Wamtuwaja from the right.
Fish fauna
In the river system of the Vyvenka u. a. the pink salmon , the ketal salmon , the sockeye salmon and Thymallus mertensii .
