Ximena Lizbeth Esquivel Guzmán (born August 22, 1997 ) is a Mexican high jumper .

Athletic career

Ximena Esquivel gained her first international experience at the World Youth Championships 2013 in Donetsk , where she finished twelfth in the final with 1.70 m. In 2014 she took part in the second Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , where she was eleventh. In 2015 she won the silver medal behind the American Vashti Cunningham at the Pan American Junior Championships in Edmonton . A little later, she finished eighth in the final at the Pan American Games in Toronto with 1.80 m. In 2016 she won the silver medal at the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland, behind the Czech Michaela Hrubá . In 2017 she took fourth place as a student at the Universidad Anáhuac de Querétaro at the Summer Universiade in Taipei .

In 2016 and 2017 she became national champion in high jump.
