Vashti Cunningham (born January 18, 1998 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) is an American high jumper .
Life
Vashti Cunningham is the daughter of former American football quarterback Randall Cunningham and former ballerina Felicity de Jager Cunningham. Her brother Randall Cunningham II is also a high jumper. Her personal record is 1.99 m indoors and 2.00 meters outdoors.
The US-American won the gold medal at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in 2016 with 1.96 meters ahead of the Spanish Olympic champion from 2016, Ruth Beitia . Two years later, at the 2018 World Indoor Athletics Championships , she jumped 1.93 meters to the silver medal behind Russian Marija Lassizkene .
At the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha , she won the bronze medal with her personal best of 2.00 m.
