Xingtai ( Chinese 邢台 市 , Pinyin Xíngtái shì ) is a district-free city in the Chinese province of Hebei . It has about 7.32 million inhabitants (end of 2016) and is located at the foot of the Taihang Mountains . 668,765 people live in the actual urban settlement area of Xingtai (2010 census). There is an important market for agricultural products in Xingtai.
Administrative structure
At the county level, Xingtai consists of two city districts, 15 districts and two independent cities. These are:
- Qiaodong district (桥东 区), 37 km², 230,000 inhabitants, center, seat of the city government;
- Qiaoxi District (桥西 区), 96 km², 330,000 inhabitants;
- Xingtai County (邢台 县), 1,983 km², 450,000 residents;
- Lincheng County (临城 县), 797 km², 190,000 inhabitants, main town: Lincheng Municipality (临 城镇);
- Circle Neiqiu (内丘县), 775 square kilometers, 260,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Neiqiu (内丘镇);
- Circle Baixiang (柏乡县), 268 square kilometers, 180,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Baixiang (柏乡镇);
- Longyao County (隆尧县), 749 km², 490,000 inhabitants, main town: Longyao Municipality (隆尧 镇);
- District Ren (任 县), 431 km², 320,000 inhabitants, main town: Rencheng municipality (任 城镇);
- Nanhe district (南和 县), 418 km², 320,000 inhabitants, main town: Heyang municipality (和 阳镇);
- Ningjin County (宁晋县), 1,107 km², 730,000 inhabitants, capital: Fenghuang Township (凤凰 镇);
- Julu district (巨鹿县), 623 km², 360,000 inhabitants, main town: Julu municipality (巨鹿 镇);
- District Xinhe (新河县), 366 square kilometers, a population of 160,000, the capital: greater community Xinhe (新河镇);
- Circle Guangzong (广宗县), 493 square kilometers, 270,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Guangzong (广宗镇);
- Pingxiang County (平 乡 县), 406 km², 280,000 inhabitants, capital: Fengzhou Municipality (丰 州镇);
