Career

After successful wildcard appearances in the motorcycle world championship with four top 5 results in the 250 cc class from 2002 to 2004, Yūki Takahashi was hired as a regular driver for Honda. In 2006 he had his only two victories at the French and German Grand Prix. After a mixed season in 2007 , in which an injury prevented better placements, he started again in 2008 and was 5th overall after three podium finishes. He then moved to the MotoGP class in the Scot Racing team. A lack of funding for the team ended the season prematurely for him after seven races on July 1st.
