Yang Liu (designer)

Yang Liu ( Chinese  刘扬 , Pinyin Liú Yáng ; born October 6, 1976 in Beijing ) is a German designer of Chinese origin.

Life

At the age of 13, Yang Liu moved to Berlin with her family . She studied at the Berlin University of the Arts and at the University of the West of England in Bristol . In 2004 she founded Yang Liu Design in Berlin-Mitte. She addressed the cultural differences between China and Germany in her work East meets West . This work was exhibited in the Federal Foreign Office in 2007 . Yang Liu holds numerous lectures and workshops at home and abroad. In 2010 she was appointed professor and dean for communication design at the Berlin Technical Art Academy.
