Yanik Frick (born May 27, 1998 in Liestal , Switzerland ) is a Liechtenstein football player .

Career

society

Yanik Frick began playing football at AC Siena in Italy, for whose professional team his father was playing at the time. He later moved to his home country and was active in the top Swiss youth leagues for USV Eschen-Mauren , FC St. Gallen and FC Vaduz .

His first position in adult football was the second team of the Austrian SCR Altach , with which he had been under contract since 2016. A year later he moved to the Italian Serie B playing AC Perugia Calcio before half a year later to league rivals AS Livorno moved. He loaned it from his club, however, directly to the third division AS Pro Piacenza in 1919 . After the loan expired, he initially returned to Livorno, which he left in November 2018. In February 2019 he was signed by the Swiss club FC Rapperswil-Jona , which at that time was playing in the second-rate Challenge League , but was relegated to the third-rate Promotion League at the end of the season.

National team

Frick played in all of his country's U-national teams before he made his debut for the senior national team in the World Cup qualifier against Albania on September 6, 2016 when he came on for Robin Gubser in the 60th minute .

Personal

His father is the long-time national player and record goal scorer for the Liechtenstein national team , Mario Frick . His younger brother Noah Frick is also a soccer player and national player.
