Yanis David gained her first international experience at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht in 2013. In the long jump, she took fifth place and won the triple jump with a wind-assisted 12.92 m. In 2014 she won the gold medal in the triple jump at the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing . In 2015 she reached fifth place in the triple jump at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna . In 2016, she qualified for the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland , where she won the gold medal in the long jump and came in tenth in the triple jump. In 2017 she won the gold medal in the long jump at the U23 European Championships and just barely missed another medal in fourth in the triple jump.
In 2018 she was 11th in the long jump at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona with 6.26 m and won the triple jump with a distance of 14.15 m.
