Yemişli is a Christian village in the Midyat district of the Turkish province of Mardin , which in the past was mainly inhabited by Syrians (also known as Assyrians or Arameans ).

Once inhabited by Syriacs , nowadays the population consists mainly of Kurds and only a small part of the Christian indigenous people.

Churches and chapels

The Syrian-Orthodox village once had six chapels and two churches: Mor Quryaqos and Mor Eshayo.
