Yeniköy is a former village and today a district of the district town in the Darende district of the Turkish province of Malatya . It is located on a plateau about 20 kilometers southwest of Darende and 90 kilometers west of the provincial capital Malatya . The connecting road from Darende to Elbistan runs through the village . There is a primary school in the village.
The two late Hittite lion sculptures called Arslantaş stand in the open about 2.7 kilometers east of the village .
