Yichuan (Yan'an)

The circle Yichuan ( Chinese  宜川县 , pinyin Yichuan Xiàn ) is a group of prefecture-level city Yan'an in the north of the province of Shaanxi . It has an area of ​​2,945 km² and has a population of 110,000 (2004).

The county stretches along the Yellow River , which acts as a border river and separates Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces . Between Yichuan and Ji County in Shanxi, the Yellow River forms the Hukou Waterfall . In the district is also the Paleolithic Longwangchan site (龙王 辿 遗址, Lóngwángchān yízhǐ ), which has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China since 2013 .
