Ylenia Carrisi

Ylenia Maria Sole Carrisi (born November 29, 1970 in Rome , † after 1994 and 2014 respectively) was an Italian television personality. She was the eldest daughter of the Italian musicians Al Bano and Romina Power . Her disappearance without a trace in 1994 attracted a lot of media attention.

Life

Ylenia Carrisi was the oldest of four children. In 1983 Carrisi worked with her parents in the music film Champagne in paradiso . In 1989 she was the letter fairy on the Italian version of the wheel of fortune , La ruota della fortuna . In 1993 Carrisi appeared with her parents on the German TV show Do you understand fun? on.

Missing person case

Ylenia Carrisi disappeared on a trip that she started on December 30, 1993 in New Orleans , USA, in January 1994. Her father Al Bano suggested that she may have committed suicide while under the influence of drugs. Carrisi was born on December 1, 2014 at the instigation of her father by an Italian court in Brindisi for declared dead . The mother, however, still does not give up hope.

A link has been drawn to an alleged suicide in January 1994 reported by an aquarium keeper.

In November 2015, it was revealed that a truck driver confessed to the murder of a woman in Tampa, who may be Ylenia Carrisi. However, a DNA comparison revealed that this was not the case.
