Yoshiki Okamoto

Yoshiki Okamoto (born June 10, 1961 in Ehime , Japan ) is a video game designer who has developed successful arcade and computer games since the 1980s .

His early games included Gyruss and Time Pilot , which set new standards in the shoot 'em up game genre . Although the games were economically very successful for the responsible computer game company Konami , his employer was not very happy because he actually wanted a racing game from him.

Internal disputes then resulted in Okamoto losing his job at Konami. He immediately switched to the games company Capcom in 1984 , for which he first developed the Arcadehit 1942 .
