history
The first inhabitants of the area, then known as Los Cuatro Vientos (The Four Winds), were the Colmán brothers in 1837 . In 1899, the Unión Patriótica , the residents and the inspector Valeriano Domingo de Arce founded school 17 (Escuela N ° 17). It was later renamed Domingo de Arce .
Young was officially declared a locality by Law No. 7256 on August 17, 1920. At that time, Young had 1200 residents. On October 15, 1963, Young was finally classified as Ciudad by Law No. 13.167 ( Ley No. 13.167 ).
Infrastructure
The Ruta 3 runs through the city , through which it has a connection to the south of the country with the capital Montevideo, as well as to the western north of the republic. It is crossed by Ruta 25 in the urban area .
