The Young Chinese Dogs are a German folk-pop band from Munich .

history

In 2011 Nick Reitmeier founded the band together with Oliver Anders Hendriksson and Birte Hanusrichter . In the same year the band was featured on the “Laut gegen Brauntöne” sampler of the state capital Munich, which appeared as part of the campaign of the same name. On June 22, 2012, the EP Live in a Cardboard Box was released.

In October 2013, the debut album Farewell to Fate followed on Motor Entertainment . Grand Hotel van Cleef did the booking and sent the Young Chinese Dogs on tour with Young Rebel Set, among others .

In 2014 the band provided the soundtrack to various films, including Affair (ARD) and Twice Second Life (ZDF). In addition, the band lent their singing voices to the cartoon characters in the movie The Little Dragon Coconut .

In August 2015, the second album Great Lake State was released , which entered the local charts at number 87 in the first week . The album was produced by Hendriksson and mixed in Los Angeles by Damien Lewis.

In May 2019 the band released their third album The Quiet & The Storm .
