Yousef Mirza Bani Hammad (born October 8, 1988 in Khor Fakkan ) is a cyclist from the United Arab Emirates .

Athletic career

Yousef Mirza Bani Hammad was third in the 2007 stage of the Tour des Aéroports . The next year he finished third in the overall ranking of the UAE International Emirates Post Tour. He also won the bronze medal in the Arab Gulf Cycling Championship in the individual time trial and in the national championship he was third in the time trial and in the road race. Bani Hammad has been driving for the Qatari Doha team since 2009 . In the 2009 season he won the team time trial at the Arab Gulf Cycling Championship in Manama with the national team .

At the 2012 UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Melbourne Hammad took the only athlete in his country part, started in the points race and finished last of 17 participants. In 2016 he started in the road race of the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , but could not finish the competition. In 2018 he became the Asian road champion.

Up to and including 2019, Mirza was eleven times national champion in road races and individual time trials , making it the record holder to date.
