Yousif Benham Habash

Yousif Benham Habash (born June 1, 1951 in Baghdida , Iraq ) is a Syrian Catholic Bishop of the Our Lady of Deliverance of Newark eparchy .

Life

Yousif Benham Habash received the sacrament of priestly ordination on August 31, 1975 from the Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, Cyrille Emmanuel Benni , and was incardinated in the clergy of the Syrian Catholic Archepark Mosul . On November 6, 1995, Habash was incardinated in the clergy of the Our Lady of Deliverance of Newark eparchy.

On April 12, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Syrian Catholic Bishop of the Eparchy Our Lady of Deliverance of Newark. The Syrian Catholic Patriarch of Antioch , Ignatius Joseph III. Younan , ordained him episcopally on June 11 of that year ; Co -consecrators were the Auxiliary Bishop in the Syrian Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, Archbishop Jules Mikhael Al-Jamil , the Syrian Catholic Archbishop Emeritus of Aleppo, Denys Raboula Antoine Beylouni , the Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Mosul, Basile Georges Casmyroussa and the Catholic-Catholic Archbishop of Baghdad , Athanase Matti Shaba Matoka . The inauguration took place on July 31, 2010.
