Youssef Rabeh (born April 13, 1985 in Rabat ) is a Moroccan football player , he plays in the position of central defender . He has played for Wydad Casablanca since the beginning of 2011 and was also a national player for Morocco. His nickname is The Basin Builder of Morocco .
Career
Rabeh began his career at FUS de Rabat when he was ten . He played for this club from 1995 to 2005, during which time he went through the youth teams and in 2003 he became part of the first team. In the summer of 2005 he signed with Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia for a year . He was also the captain of Morocco's U20 national team and finished fourth in the 2005 World Junior Cup . In 2006 he signed again with FUS de Rabat for six months. For the rest of the season he played at FAR Rabat , also in Morocco. In 2007 he moved to Lewski Sofia in Bulgaria for 800,000 euros . Since then, he has played 36 league games for the club.
After a few scandals, Levski Sofia dissolved the contract with Rabeh. He then moved to the Russian first division club Anzhi Makhachkala , but ended his professional career before he played the first game in Makhachkala jersey. However, the end of his career was short-lived. At the beginning of March, the Moroccan first division team, Maghreb Tétouan, announced the commitment of the central defender. After a year he joined Wydad Casablanca . There, his team won the Moroccan championship in 2015 and 2017 and the CAF Champions League in 2017 .
Between 2007 and 2015, Rabeh was also a national team player for Morocco. He made five international matches.
