Yua is a genus of the grapevine family(Vitaceae).
description
Yua species are woody, bisexual lianas . They have lenticels and white pith. The tendrils are twofold. The leaves are palmate, five-pinnate. The flowers are five-fold. The calyx is cup-shaped and with entire margins. The 5 petals are fused in the flower bud. This opens at the flowering time. The petals later fall out individually. There are usually 5 stamens . The discus is inconspicuous. The styles are conspicuous. The scar is inconspicuously enlarged. The berries are spherical and taste sweet and sour. The seeds are flat and pear-shaped. They are beaked at the bottom and faded at the top.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 40.
Occurrence
The genus is common in China , Nepal and India .

The genus Yua was first described by Chao Luang Li in 1990. There are 2 types:
