Yucca is a band from Hersbruck near Nuremberg . Her style is a mix of indie rock , alternative and electro .

history

Yucca was founded in 2001 in Hersbruck. In their current line-up as a quintet, they have been playing together since 2006. After several demos, Quick, Let's Beat It. Was recorded in the summer of 2006 , the first album on their own.

After appearing at a benefit concert in Weilheim in spring 2008, the band met Oliver Zülch ( Die Ärzte , The Notwist , Slut , Ich + Ich , Juli et al.). From the summer of 2008 they decided on the album A Different Time in a Different Place. record. The rehearsal room of The Notwist in Weilheim served as the studio. Shortly before the start of the recordings, the rehearsal room in Nuremberg was flooded in a storm in June 2008 and the equipment was completely destroyed. With the new album numerous concerts and appearances at festivals in Germany, Austria and France followed.

The album Make Up. , which in turn was recorded with Oliver Zülch in Nuremberg and Bochum (Studio Mohrmann), was published on March 18, 2011. The album Seasons followed in 2014 , five years later Favorite Moments .
