Yūichi Togashiki

Yūichi Togashiki ( Japanese 渡 嘉 敷 祐 一 , Togashiki Yūichi ; born November 29, 1955 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz and studio musician ( drums ).

Yuichi Togashiki worked in the Tokyo music scene a. a. with Eiji Arai & The Beatsounds and with Izumi Kobayashi & Flying Mimi Band, in the field of jazz with Kiyoshi Sugimoto , Hiromasa Suzuki , Nobuyuki Shimizu , Toots Thielemans ( Apple Dimple , Denon 1985), Jake H. Concepcion , Yasuaki Shimizu , Masanori Sasaji , Mikio Masuda , Hiroko Kokubu and Makoto Ozone . He also belonged to the formation The Players and worked with the singers Yasuko Agawa , Salena Jones , Harumi Kaneko , Masako Miyazaki , Eri Ohno , Anli Sugano and Nancy Wilson ( Keep You Satisfied , 1985). In the 1990s and 2000s he continued to work with Shinobu Ito , Kimiko Itoh and most recently with Keiko Lee ( Smooth , 2011, with George Duke , Soichi Noriki , Akira Okazawa ). In the field of jazz, Tom Lord lists him in 44 recording sessions between 1976 and 2010. As a studio musician, he also took part in music recordings for numerous computer games from 1978 .
