Yuka Satō ( Japanese 佐藤 有 香 , Satō Yuka ; born July 21, 1992 in Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese javelin thrower .

Athletic career

Yuka Satō gained her first international experience at international championships in 2009 at the World Youth Championships in Brixen , where she finished ninth in the final with a width of 48.14 m. The following year she won the bronze medal at the Junior Asian Championships in Hanoi with 48.46 m. In 2011, she won the bronze medal behind the two Chinese women Liu Chunhua and Wang Ping at the Asian Championships in Kobe with a width of 54.16 m . Years followed in which she only competed nationally before she could improve in 2019 and qualified for the World Championships in Doha , where she did not reach the final with 55.03 m .

Satō graduated from Higashiosaka College in Higashiōsaka .
