Yūki Sōma ( Japanese 相 馬 勇 紀 , Sōma Yūki ; born February 25, 1997 in Tokyo , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

society

Yūki Sōma learned to play football in the youth teams of Nunota SC and Mitsubishi Yowa SC and the university team of Waseda University . From June 2018 to January 2019 he was loaned to Nagoya Grampus by the university . After the loan ended, he was signed by Nagoya in 2019. The club from Nagoya , a port city in the Japanese prefecture of Aichi on Honshū , played in the country's highest league, the J1 League . From August 2019 to January 2020 he was loaned to the Kashima Antlers . The club from Kashima also played in the first division. At the end of the season he was runner-up with Kashima. After the loan, he returned to Nagoya in early 2020.

National team

Yūki Sōma played five times for the U23 national team . He has been playing for the Japanese national soccer team since 2019 . He made his international debut on December 10, 2019 in a game of the East Asian Cup against China at the Busan Gudeok Stadium in Busan .
