Yves Chabal
Yves Jean Chabal (born August 5, 1952 in Pau , France) is an American physicist .
Chabal received a bachelor's degree in physics from Princeton University in 1974 and a Ph.D. at Cornell University . He then worked at Bell Laboratories until 1996 and then worked at Lucent Technologies until 2002 . From 2002 to 2008, Chabal was at Rutgers University as a professor of chemistry, biomedical research, and physics. Since then he has been Professor of Nanoelectronics at the University of Texas .
Chabal is one of the leading experts in the field of semiconductor surfaces and their properties. This research should enable smaller, stronger, and more energy efficient semiconductors.
