Złote Łany (Bielsko-Biała)

Złote Łany ( German Goldflur ) is a district ( Osiedle ) of Bielsko-Biała in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .

The district is located between the districts of Grunwaldzkie in the northwest, Lipnik in the northeast, Straconka in the east and Leszczyny in the south. Droga ekspresowa S1 runs through the district .

In the 19th century there were only arable fields in the village of Lipnik and a quarry in the area . In 1925 it was incorporated into the town of Biała Krakowska with Lipnik , and from 1951 in Bielsko-Biała . From the 1970s onwards, several prefabricated housing estates were built. As of 2002, Złote Łany has been a separate district (2006: 139.84 ha, 16,311 inhabitants).
