Olszówka Górna was built on the Kamienica site . Olszówka Dolna was probably founded by Bielsko residents. They were first mentioned in a document in 1570. The name Olszówka is derived from alder (Polish olsza ). They belonged to the dominion of Bielitz (since 1754 Duchy of Bielitz ).

After the abolition of patrimonial Olszówka Dolna became a part of the municipality Mikuszowice ( Nickelsdorf ), while Olszówka Górna was added to the municipality of Kamienica , Austrian Silesia , Bielsko district and judicial district.

In 1910 Olszówka Dolna had 541 inhabitants, 93.8% were German-speaking, 6.3% Polish-speaking, 47.3% were Protestant, 44.4% Roman Catholic, there were 44 (8.1%) Jews. They belonged to the Bielitz-Biala language island .

In 1920, after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and the end of the Polish-Czechoslovak border war , they came to Poland. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II .

They were incorporated as parts of Kamienica and Mikuszowice from the city of Bielsko-Biała (1969 and 1977).
