The vehicles of the ZSSK class 381 are electric multi-system locomotives from the Slovakian railway company Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko (ZSSK), which correspond to the type 109 E from the Czech manufacturer Škoda Transportation .
history
In 2009 the ZSSK ordered two locomotives for regional traffic. The price was 8,499,900 euros. It is used in push-pull trains on the Kúty - Bratislava - Nové Zámky and Bratislava - Leopoldov routes .
The first locomotive was transferred from the manufacturer in Plzeň to the Velim railway test ring on November 8, 2011 . An extensive test program took place there. On December 3, 2011, the locomotive came to Bratislava, where on December 6, the test runs with the new double- decker push-pull train units 951/051 , also supplied by Škoda, began.
Since February 2012, the locomotive has been further tested before scheduled trains. At the end of 2012, the second locomotive also started to operate.
There was no further procurement of the series. Since 2017, ZSSK has been purchasing Siemens Vectron locomotives instead , which are run as the 383 series.
