Zach McGowan
Zachary Brendan "Zach" McGowan (born May 5, 1980 in New York City ) is an American actor and voice actor.
Life
Zachary McGowan was born in New York in 1980, the youngest of three sons. In high school, McGowan was the captain of the football and ice hockey teams and a member of the theater and acting classes. After high school, he attended Carleton College , Minnesota. In 2003 he began appearing in a few plays on Broadway before moving to Los Angeles in 2005. In 2006 he made his professional acting debut in the film The Hunt for Eagle One . From 2007 to 2009, McGowan starred in individual episodes on various television series before starting to make his living as a speaker for PC games in 2009. In 2012 he got his first recurring role in the series Shameless . At first he was only planned as a guest star, but the showrunners of Shameless liked the character of McGowan so much that they began using him as a recurring role for the second and third seasons. In 2014, McGowan got the role of pirate captain Charles Vane in the series Black Sails . Also in 2014 he played a supporting role in the movie Dracula Untold . From 2016 to 2017 he starred in the television series The 100 .
McGowan has been married to Emily Johnson since September 27, 2008.
