Zahling is a parish village and part of the municipality of Obergriesbach in the district of Aichach-Friedberg , which belongs to the administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria .

geography

Zahling is located in the Danube-Isar hill country and thus in the Lower Bavarian hill country , which belongs to the Alpine foothills , one of the main natural spatial units in Germany .

Zahling is about two kilometers west of Obergriesbach.

The Zahling ramparts are located 600 meters southeast of Zahling , and the section fortification in Taitinger Holz is around 1.5 kilometers to the southwest .

history

The Catholic parish of Saint Gregory the Great in Zahling belongs to the deanery Aichach-Friedberg in the diocese of Augsburg.

Until July 1, 1972, Zahling, with its district of Latzenhausen located about one and a half kilometers to the south, belonged to the district of Aichach as an independent municipality and was incorporated into the municipality of Obergriesbach as well as the newly founded district of Aichach-Friedberg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . On May 1, 1978 the wasteland Latzenhausen moved to the community of Dasing .
