Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli (born August 20, 1993 in Alor Setar ) is a Malaysian sprinter .

Athletic career

For the first time Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli made an international appearance at the Asian Championships 2013 in Pune , where she was eliminated in the first round of the 100 and 200 meters . Then she reached the summer university in Kazan over 100 meters to the semifinals and was eliminated there with 12.42 seconds. At the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw , she finished fifth over 100 meters in 12.13 s and eliminated over 200 meters with 25.17 s in the lead. In 2015 at the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore she was fourth in the 100 meters in 11.93 s and sixth in the 200 meters in 24.18 s and won the bronze medal in the Malaysian 4-by-100-meter relay in 45.41 s. Over 100 meters she took part again in the student world games in Gwangju and reached the semi-finals again. In 2016 she took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Doha , where she reached the semi-finals over 60 meters. In the summer she took part in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro for Malaysia , where she was eliminated in the first round over 100 meters . In 2017, she just missed a medal at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar as fourth over 100 meters. With the 4 x 100 meter relay she reached fifth place. In August 2017 she won the silver medals over 100 and 200 meters behind the Vietnamese Lê Tú Chinh at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur and finished fifth and last place in the sprint relay.

In 2018 she took part in the Asian Indoor Championships in Tehran , where she was eliminated in the preliminary round over 60 meters. At the beginning of April she reached the semi-finals over 100 meters at the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast and was eliminated there with 11.84 s. She then reached eighth place in the 100-meter run at the Asian Games in Jakarta with 11.61 s. The following year she finished sixth in the Southeast Asian Games in Capas in 11.84 s and reached fourth place with the relay in 45.25 s. But she won the bronze medal behind the teams from the Philippines and Thailand in the mixed 4 x 100 meter relay in 42.20 seconds.

In 2013 and 2018, Zulkifli became the Malaysian champion over 100 meters and in 2018 also over 200 meters and with the 4 x 100 meter relay. She completed a sports degree at Putra University Malaysia .
