The beginnings

Already before the year 1744 the Lindener wood was being mined . On November 26th, 1748, Johann Heinrich Köllermann and his fellow tradesmen made a request. The award of a seam under the name Kirschbaum was applied for. Drilling of the Kirschbaumer adit started before 1754. On July 3, 1754, a permit to create a deep tunnel was granted. Was a condition of the award that the deeper tunnel 14.6 meters below the old tunnel ascended would after the old tunnels to break left. On July 18 of the same year, the mine field was measured and the award was confirmed. In retrospect, dismantling was carried out. In 1755 four miners were employed at the mine. The mine was in operation from 1755 to 1768.
