The beginnings

The assumed pit field was in the so-called Maikammerer Marck and extended to the east. In addition, the crossing into the lying position was requested. The mutation was registered under the name Kleine Johann. Subsequently, dismantling began. For this purpose, a tunnel was created in the Steinbachtal. The tunnel was located in the area of today's two streets, Herdecker Strasse and Fröbelstrasse. In 1755 the mine was closed in time limits . The following year, already 165 was foot long tunnel further ascended . On March 4, 1757, the loan was made with a length field . Henrich Jürgen Schraberg and consorts were enfeoffed.

The other years

Around the year 1760, the tunnel was deferred at a length of 40 laughs , the mine was again placed in time limits. The mine was in operation again from around 1765, but operations were very changeable, and the mine operators had to constantly pay additional fines . In 1769 there was a deep tunnel. In 1772 the Kleine Johann colliery was closed. In 1790 the mine was entered on the Niemeyersche map . At that time the mine had one gallery and two shafts . The tunnel was driven 150 meters eastwards from the Steinbachtal. In 1806, the rightful owner was again declared free of mining . Later there was a renewed call under the name of Zeche Friedrich Wilhelm, but the pit field was not lent again .
