The United Verborgenglück colliery is a former hard coal mine in Sprockhövel - Hiddinghausen . The mine was also known as the Zeche Verborgen Glück . The mine belonged to the Märkisches Bergamts district and there to the Schlebusch jury area .

Mining history

A length field was awarded on April 22nd, 1842 . The mine went into operation that same year. In 1855 a joint tunnel was excavated together with the Sunderbank colliery . The United Verborgenglück colliery was occupied by a miner at this time , but no dismantling took place. In 1858, which was shared with the mine Sunderbank shaft Ida geteuft . The shaft was equipped with a reel and used jointly by both mines. The shaft had a depth of 25 laughs and reached to the bottom of the tunnel . On July 21, 1859, there was a fire in the jointly used mine . Ten miners were killed in this mining accident. At the end of 1861 the United Verborgenglück colliery was taken out of service.
