Zeljko Loparić

Zeljko Loparić (born December 3, 1939 in Cvetković ) is a Croatian - Brazilian philosopher . He is Professor of Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo .

Life

Loparić studied philology , theology , philosophy and mathematics at the universities of Zagreb (1958–59 / 60–62), Leuven (1959–60 / 62–65), Freiburg (1966), Heidelberg (1966–69) and Universidade Federal da Paraíba (1970-72). In 1982 he received his doctorate from the Université catholique de Louvain with a thesis on Kant and Mach . His habilitation followed at the Universidade Estadual de Campinas in 1986.

From 1977 Loparić worked in Campinas , first as a lecturer and later as professor of the history of philosophy and philosophy of science .
