The Central Stadium Aqtöbe ( Russian : Центральный стадион Актюбинск ) is a football stadium in the western Kazakh city of Aqtöbe . It is the home ground of the FK Aqtöbe football club .
history
Inaugurated on August 28, 1975 and modernized in 2006, the football stadium without an athletics facility has a capacity of 12,800 seats in its four tiers, which are completely covered. The venue meets international requirements and is one of the most modern in Kazakhstan. The stadium has a video screen, VIP boxes and a floodlight system with 1,800 lux . A natural turf is laid as a playing field . In 2011, underfloor heating was installed.
The FK Aqtöbe remained unbeaten in the central stadium from October 2, 2004 to August 27, 2009 (1790 days) in all competitions ( Premjer League , Football Cup , UEFA Champions League and UEFA Cup ). The series ended in defeat in the qualifying play-offs for the 2009/10 UEFA Europa League group stage . FK Aqtöbe lost to Werder Bremen in front of their own audience with two goals from Claudio Pizarro with 0-2.
