Zhang Jilin
Zhang Jilin ( Chinese 张继林 , Pinyin Zhāng Jìlín , born June 24, 1986 in Harbin , Heilongjiang ) is a Chinese chess player . She has been playing for the Australian Chess Federation since 2017.
At the 2008 student world championships in Novokuznetsk , she took third place in the competition among female students. At the 2008 Women's World Cup in Nalchik , for which she had qualified via the 2007 zone tournament in Tianjin , she was eliminated in the first round with 0.5: 1.5 against Inna Gaponenko . In the Chinese team championship she played in 2005 for the team Heilongjiang Pharmaceuticals , then for Shandong , with which she won the Chinese team championship in 2007 and 2010 .
In 2004 Zhang became International Women's Champion (WIM), and since 2007 she has held the title of Women's Grand Master (WGM). She met the WIM standards at the Asian Women's Championship 2003 in Kozhikode , at the Aeroflot Open in February 2004 in Moscow and in August 2004 at the 1st Arthur Tan Malaysian in Kuala Lumpur , and the WGM standards at the Chinese Women's Team Championship 2002 in Beihai , at the Junior World Championships U20 in Yerevan 2006 and at the 3rd International Masters in Singapore 2006.
Her Elo rating is 2245 (as of May 2020), which puts her behind Julia Ryjanova in second place in the Australian women's Elo ranking. Her highest rating to date was 2361 in April 2008.
She acts as a referee at international Asian chess tournaments. After receiving the FIDE Arbiter title in 2008 , she has been the International Arbiter of the FIDE World Chess Federation since April 2010 .
