Ziegelhof is a dwelling place of the city Lenzen (Elbe) the Office Lenzen-Elbe Valley in Prignitz in Brandenburg .

geography

The place is two kilometers northwest of Lenzen (Elbe) and 28 kilometers west-northwest of Perleberg , the seat of the Prignitz district. The location is in the district of Lenzen (Elbe) on the left bank of the Löcknitz , which is part of the FFH area Untere Löcknitzniederung. The settlement is surrounded by the Brandenburgische Elbtalaue landscape protection area, the Lower Elbe Valley bird sanctuary and the Elbe river landscape biosphere reserve.

Neighboring towns are Bäckern in the north, Lenzen (Elbe) in the southwest, Pevestorf in the south, Höhbeck , Vietze and Mödlich in the southwest, and Seedorf in the northwest.

history

Around 1800 the place belonged to the Lenzen district in the province of Prignitz ; part of the Kurmark of the Mark Brandenburg . In a description of this landscape from 1804, the place was listed under the entry "Ziegelei" as a brick oven located on the "Lenzenschen Stadtfelde" not far from bakers.
