Zipfelbachtal, Korber Kopf, Buocher Höhe, Remstal slopes, Ramsbachtal and Grafenberg is a protected landscape area (protected area number 1.19.009) in the Rems-Murr district .

Location and description

The protected area was created by a collective ordinance of the former Waiblingen District Office for the protection of parts of the landscape in the Waiblingen district of November 4, 1968. The area of validity was changed by an ordinance of the Rems-Murr District District Office of May 7, 2004. It includes the Keuper landscape with vineyards, fruit slopes, stream valleys, meadows and forest between Winnenden in the northwest and Schorndorf in the southeast and belongs to the natural area 107 - Schurwald and Welzheimer Wald within the main natural unit 10 - Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . Parts of the area near Schorndorf are in the EU bird sanctuary no. 7123-441 orchards and vineyards between Geradstetten, Rudersberg and Waldhausen . The nature reserve No. 1275 - Upper Zipfelbachtal with side cliff and parts of the Sonnenberg is largely enclosed by the LSG.

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the diversity, uniqueness and beauty of the landscape, also because of its special importance for recreation. The aim is to maintain, develop and restore the efficiency and functionality of the natural balance and the regenerative and sustainable usability of natural assets, including the habitats and habitats of certain wild animal and plant species.
