The Nassachtal landscape protection area is a protected landscape area (LSG numbers 1.17.043 and 1.19.054) in the area of ​​the two districts in Baden-Württemberg , which was designated by the Göppingen District Office (which also applies to the Rems-Murr district) from September 6, 1982 .

location

The total area of ​​2166.6 hectares includes the entire catchment area of ​​the Nassach , i.e. the entire Nassach Valley with adjacent areas. 995.0 hectares are located in the Göppingen district and 1171.6 hectares in the Rems-Murr district. The LSG Nassachtal belongs to the natural area 107- Schurwald and Welzheimer Wald within the main unit 10- Swabian Keuper-Lias-Land . The 9.8 hectare nature reserve No. 1116 Bärentobel is completely enclosed by the LSG. Parts of the Nassachtal also belong to FFH area no. 7222-341 Schurwald .

Protection purpose

The main protection purpose is the preservation of the charming natural landscape with the diversity of its formative elements as a natural living and recreation area. Special protection of nature and landscape in its entirety and in individual parts is necessary.
