Zoe Kruger (born July 31, 2002 ) is a South African tennis player .

Career

Kruger mostly plays ITF tournaments. She has not yet won a title at the ITF Women's Circuit .

She played her first professional tournament in November 2016 in Casablanca , where she reached the peloton with two wins in qualification at her first tournament. But then she lost in the first lap of the main draw.

In 2017 she competed at the Australian Open in both junior singles and junior doubles , but lost in both competitions in the first round. In May she received a wild card for qualifying for the Nuremberg Insurance Cup, her first tournament on the WTA Tour . But there she was already defeated by Marie Bouzková in the first qualifying round with 2: 6 and 3: 6. For the Abierto Tampico 2017 , endowed with 100,000 US dollars , she received a wildcard for the main field, but was defeated there by Urszula Radwańska 4: 6 and 2: 6.

In 2018 she received a wildcard for qualifying at the Volvo Car Open , where she lost to Ulrikke Eikeri 1: 6 and 4: 6 in the first qualifying round . In qualifying for the Ladies Championship Gstaad , she won the first round over Deniz Khazaniuk 7: 5 and 6: 3, but lost to Kathinka von Deichmann 1: 6 and 1: 6 in the second round .

In March 2019, she received a wildcard to qualify for the BNP Paribas Open , her first premier tournament on the WTA Tour. She lost there in the first qualifying round with 0: 6 and 0: 6 against Natalja Wichljanzewa . In July she received a wildcard for qualifying for the Ladies Championship Lausanne , where she lost 4-6 and 2-6 in the first round against Allie Kiick . In qualifying for the Baltic Open , she received another wildcard, but also lost again in the first round against Isabella Schinikowa with 2: 6 and 4: 6.
