Zollmühle is a district of the town of Ellingen in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district in Central Franconia . The former mill has five inhabitants and is 385 meters above sea level .
The homestead is located 2.5 kilometers north of Ellingen directly on the Swabian Rezat . Bundesstraße 2 runs around 500 meters to the east . At the Zollmühle, the Walkershöfer Weihergraben flows into the Swabian Rezat .
The Zollmühle is surrounded by an 18-hole golf course, opened in 2004, with a length of 6,163 meters. The main building is used as a clubhouse as well as a café.
About 500 meters from the Zollmühle, next to the golf course, there are the remains of a Roman watchtower . There are traces of settlement from prehistoric times around the Zollmühle. The Rhaetian Limes was about 350 meters north. Zollmühle's only monument is a two-story house with medieval foundations and a gable roof from the 18th century and a figure of a saint above the portal .
There is another place within the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district with the same name: Zollmühle , part of the nearby municipality of Treuchtlingen .
