Zoran Kostić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Зоран Костић , born November 14, 1982 in Čačak ) is a former Serbian football player . The midfielder has been under contract throughout his career in his home country, Russia and Kazakhstan.

Athletic career

Kostić comes from the youth of FK Borac Čačak . He made his debut in the men's team for the then first division club in 1999, and after relegation at the end of the season he continued to run irregularly for the club in the second division. In the summer of 2001, the club loaned him to the league rivals FK Polet Ljubić , where he prevailed as a regular player and played 22 games this season. After his return at the end of the season, he became a regular player at his home club and rose with the team to the Prva liga Srbije i Crne Gore . Even in the first division, he played most of the season's games in the following years, when the club established itself in the bottom third of the table. With a seventh place in the table in the 2005/06 season, the club narrowly missed the European Cup , but qualified for the Serbian top division, the SuperLiga, after the breakup of Serbia and Montenegro in the summer of 2006 .

Kostić, however, left his home country and hired the Russian club Schinnik Yaroslavl . By the end of the 2006 season he ran regularly for his new club in the Premjer league , but rose at the end of the season with the team from the top division. In the following season he hardly came to the train, so that the club gave him up after the direct promotion to the second division Ural Yekaterinburg . By the end of the season he ran after an injury in July in 25 of the 42 season games, as fourth in the table he missed promotion to the Premjer League with the team. After the season he returned to Shinnik Yaroslavl, the club was relegated again to the second division. Although wearing the number "10" on his back , the midfielder did not play for the club until the summer.

In the summer of 2009 Kostić returned to his home country for FK Borac Čačak. At the Serbian first division he was again a regular player and placed with the team in the middle of the table. In the summer of 2011 the Serb left his homeland again and was signed by the Kazakh first division club FK Aqtöbe . He finished the 2011 season with his new club in third place in the Kazakh Premier League .
