Zsolt Keller

Zsolt Keller (* 1975 in Budapest ) is a Swiss historian specializing in Jewish history .

Life

Between 1995/96 and 1999/2000, Keller studied theology, contemporary history and modern history at the University of Friborg / Switzerland . In 1998 he was assistant at the Institute for Ecumenical Studies and at the Department of Dogmatics. He was licentiate (lic. Sc. Rel.) In April 2000, his work “The crucifixion of Christ works well with us” . Siegfried Weichlein emphasized in his review in the NZZ that the work deals with a “central point of reference” of Catholic anti-Semitism .

Between 2000 and 2002, Keller worked as a graduate assistant at the seminar for dogmatics with Johannes Baptist Brantschen . From 2002 to 2004 he taught history and religion at the Baden Cantonal School . Between 1998 and 2004 he was also a research assistant at the Archives for Contemporary History at ETH Zurich (Documentation Center for Contemporary Jewish History).

From July 2004 to the end of July 2006, Keller was a graduate assistant to Urs Altermatt at the chair for general and Swiss contemporary history at the University of Friborg / Switzerland. Since August 2006, Keller has been working again as a teacher and prorector at the Baden Cantonal School. He received a diploma "Higher Teaching Degree" (LDS II) in November 2008. In 2010 he was awarded with the dissertation Defense and Enlightenment. Anti-Semitism and the Swiss Association of Israelites 1943–1960 , doctorate from the University of Zurich .

Since 2011, Keller has been assistant to Jacques Picard at the Department of Cultural Studies and European Ethnology at the University of Basel .
