Future in the district
Future in the District ( ZiS ) was a funding program in the state of Brandenburg . It was financed 75 percent from the European Fund for Regional Structural Development ( ERDF ) and the European Social Fund ( ESF ), 20 percent from the respective municipality (own contribution) and 5 percent from the state of Brandenburg. The land's share was withdrawn from 2006. This increases the municipal contribution to 25 percent.
The project period began in 2000 and ended on December 31, 2006. A total of 16 cities in Brandenburg were funded:

- Frankfurt (Oder)
- Fürstenwalde / Spree
- Guben
- Nauen
- Neuruppin
- Oranienburg

- Wittenberg
