The Zundereck is the first peak in the Archtalgrat, which borders the Archtal with the distinctive Kistenkar to the west. This is followed by the Zunderkopf , Archtalwand and Archtalkopf , the latter already in the main range of the Estergebirge. The summit is accessible from Eschenlohe as a difficult mountain tour, unmarked. On the summit there is a now overturned summit cross with a summit book. The mountain lies above the Loisach valley in the north. The small tributaries Mühlbach and Urlaine arise on its slopes . The mountain is located in the municipality of Eschenlohe in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen district .
