Catholic Church Tegernau

The Catholic Church Tegernau ( To the Immaculate Conception of Mary ) in the town of Tegernau of the same name is a branch church built between 1962 and 1963 . The church built by the community of Hausen im Wiesental for the Catholics in the Kleiner Wiesental was consecrated on December 8, 1963. The architects of the church were Anton Ohnmacht and Rupert Muffler from the Archbishop's Building Authority in Freiburg.

The church building consists of a rectangular nave and a semicircular choir adjoining it in the north . The saddle roof over the nave merges into a conical shape over the choir. On the south side of the nave roof sits a square roof turret , which is covered by a high, six-sided pyramid roof that is slightly bent in the lower quarter . The roof is closed by a tower ball and a cross at the top .

The nave and choir have windows designed by the Freiburg artist Rainer Dorwarth . They show Maria , St. Laurentius and Boniface . In the interior of the church there are 14 wood-carved Stations of the Cross.

The two-part bronze peal consists of the following bells:
