Two little heroes is an award-winning children's film from Sweden ( 2003 ), which describes social phenomena such as unemployment , immigration , single parents, self-determination and religious belief .

action

Ten-year-old Marcello suffers from the unrealistic hopes his parents have in him. Therefore, he is plagued by fear of failure and a lack of self-esteem. He asks Jesus for help.

The next day, the Muslim Fatima comes to class. In contrast to Marcello, she is confident and a great footballer . But she too has problems. Her mother has died and she has to assert herself against her brothers. They want to ensure that they stop playing this sport and not have contact with boys.

Marcello and Fatima become friends. They promise each other that they will both want their dreams to come true.

Awards

Among other things , the film received the German Video Industry Prize and the main prize of the children's jury at the Stuttgart Kindertage .
