The American twins Allyson and Melanie Porter visit their grandfather Edward in Paris. He is the US ambassador there and has little time for the two girls. That's why he puts his assistant, Jeremy Bluff, at their side to oversee them, whom they keep getting away from. They fall in love with the city and with two French boys, Jean and Michel. Allyson and Melanie visit the city's sights like Notre-Dame by scooter and meet lots of nice people. You go on a shopping tour through boutiques and meet for dinner dates at the Eiffel Tower .

Philipp Frankhauser wrote on md-press.com: “The clear aim of this comedy is to bring Paris closer to American teenagers and to show them how beautiful it is in Europe. Alan Metter managed to achieve this with 'Twins in Paris'. But not more. [...] The acting performances are also pathetic. [...] The story of 'Twins in love with Paris' is also at the lowest level. "
