Zygmunt Malanowicz
Zygmunt Malanowicz (born February 4, 1938 in Korkożyszki near Vilna , † April 4, 2021 or April 5, 2021 ) was a Polish actor , film director and screenwriter .
life and career
Zygmunt Malanowicz received his acting training at the Łódź Film School . He graduated in 1963. While still a student, he played the leading role in Roman Polański's The Knife in the Water . He received his first theater engagements after graduating in the 1960s in Zielona Góra , Posen and Nowa Huta . In the 1970s he was engaged at the Teatr Powszechny in Łódź and at the Żeromski Theater in Kielce . From 1980 he played theater in Warsaw : first until 1982 at the Studio Theater , then from 1982 to 1991 at the Teatr Rozmaitości. From 2000 he was part of the ensemble ofWarsaw Dramatic Theater . As a screenwriter, he wrote the screenplay for his film Wyrok na Franciszka Klosa together with Andrzej Wajda .
Malanowicz died in early April 2021 at the age of 83.
